Upload or Record

Click on the blue Get Started button to open Flixier in your web browser. Then, you can drag the media you want to use in your movie over from your computer, or use the other import options to bring it over from different online sources like Google Photos, Dropbox, and many more. After you close the Import menu, you can click the Record button and choose between recording your webcam, microphone, screen and more. This footage will be saved to your library so you can add it to your project later.

Edit your video

To put your video together, drag media from your library down to the timeline. You can drag transitions, motion titles, text and shapes over from their respective menus on the left side of the screen. To customize a title or shape, select it on the timeline and use the Object Inspector menu on the right side of the screen. This is also where you can add filters and effects to your video and audio tracks. You can cut out unwanted parts from your video by using the Cut button and trim clips by dragging on their ends in the timeline.

Save your movie

When you’re done editing your movie, click the Export button in the top right corner of the screen. Flixier will take a few minutes to process your video and then it will be saved to your computer. You can also give your video a title, description and thumbnail and have it published to your YouTube channel, TikTok or Facebook page immediately after it’s done.

What I like most about Flixier is the flexibility to edit the captions, both in terms of the text and the time where it starts and finish showing it. It gives you full control.

This online free program was extremely easy to use, implement, and integrate into my 9-12th grade tech classes. The projects turned out great and were easy to export. I liked having multiple ways to upload pictures. The software was also easy to understand.
